So you don't have to miss your croissants early in the morning. For a visit to a pub or a delicious snack in a restaurant, you don't have to go far. There are many cosy pubs and eating places in the neighbourhood of Victorello. TIP: Be sure to visit the whisky bar and cigar lounge on the Zwarteberg.

Nature

Situated on the Rodeberg, Victorello holiday home is the perfect base for cycling and walking enthusiasts. The Hellegat forest is located 100 metres from the holiday home. There you can take long walks and there is also a playground where the children can play for hours. Also visit Domein De Warande. The park is an excellent walking area with many open spaces and a rich assortment of plants. Conquer Sulferberg and be amazed by the fantastic landscapes or visit De Commandobunker in Kemmel. For over an hour and a half, you dive into the belly of the Kemmelberg: a site full of secret missions, invisible enemies and an omnipresent tension that leaves no one untouched.

Local products

You will cycle or walk past them anyway: countless vineyards and wine estates where wine growers produce the best wines with a lot of passion. Our tips? On the sloping flanks of the Belgian Hill Country, between the Rodeberg and the Zwarteberg, you will find wine domains. https://www.vintageheuvelland.be/. Without any discussion, one of the most idyllic vineyards you can find in Belgium. For the best Picon you have to be in Heuvelland. Picon is a caramel-coloured bitter liqueur and can be drunk purely as an appetizer and is excellent to mix with beer or white wine. So you must certainly have tasted it during your stay in Heuvelland.

If you want to relive history or reflect on WWI, you can visit the Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres, follow the trail of French soldiers on the mapped out walk 'The Battle of the Kemmelberg', explore the command bunker under the Kemmelberg or visit Wytschaete Military Cemetery. And actually, we could go on for quite a while listing all the activities related to the First World War. Something you should definitely not miss out on.
